Rich and thick, yet it absorbs quickly without leaving a greasy residue. Plus, the delicate scent is a nice bonus. I will re-order it once I run out of it and it is also a good product to put into a gift bag, whatever the occasion.
Moving on to deodorant, I’ve been on the hunt for a natural alternative. Enter Elizabeth Arden’s Green Tea Cream Deodorant. While the application method took me by surprise (see more details in the video below), the refreshing scent and effectiveness are worth it! I have been now using it daily and becoming used to the unique application. It truly works better than some other well-known drug-store deodorants.
Then there’s the Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Hydrating Miracle Mist. After seeing a good recommendation on it, I thought let’s give it a try! I was shocked when I filmed my first impression and caught the instant hydrated look on camera! With just one use, my skin felt instantly refreshed and hydrated. Perfect for combating dryness, especially during harsh winter months or long flights.
2. Makeup Must-Haves
Onto makeup, where I explored some new options. I decided to try Catrice’s Ten!sational 10 in 1 Dream Primer, a multifaceted gem that combines skincare benefits with makeup perfection. Amongst the vast array of global beauty brands, there’s something truly special about supporting local artisans and discovering hidden gems within our communities. As I ventured into the world of local finds, I stumbled upon Oma Care, a sustainable and safe skincare and home care brand.
Initially introduced to the brand through a gifted lip balm and body cream, I was instantly captivated by the brand’s commitment to quality and sustainability. Made with care and infused with natural ingredients, Oma Care’s products epitomize the essence of pampering self-care.
Inspired by my initial experience, I delved deeper into Oma Care’s offerings, ultimately opting for their Organic Nourishing Hair Shampoo and Coconut-Mango Body Butter. The shampoo, tailored to soothe and nourish irritated scalps, provided a gentle cleansing experience. In my opinion, the effectiveness in actually cleaning the hair wasn’t that good compared to some popular drug-store shampoos, because my hair didn’t stay clean for more than one day. In addition, the shampoo doesn’t foam well, which made it difficult to spread the shampoo easily all over my head. Nevertheless, I will keep the shampoo for the days when my scalp is more irritated and really needs a gentle wash.
Meanwhile, the body butter, with its decadent texture and intoxicating scent, enveloped my skin in a cocoon of hydration, leaving it soft, supple, and irresistibly fragrant. I have never tried a body butter that hydrating. Perfect for the colder months and very dry skin!
4. Learn from My Mistakes
Amidst the excitement of discovering new skincare treasures, I unfortunately stumbled upon a less-than-pleasant experience with a local company offering teeth whitening kits. As a previous customer of the company needing a refill of the whitening gel, I placed a new order, only to find myself entangled in a web of deceit and disappointment.
A couple of years ago I had ordered an at-home teeth whitening UV kit from the company. Upon making the purchase, I was informed that the exact kit I ordered was unavailable, and instead, I was upgraded to a professional version. Initially, I didn’t mind the substitution and was excited about the upgrade.
In the beginning of this year, I decided to reorder the whitening gel and continue using my existing kit. After placing my new order, I started to wait for the delivery notification. Days turned into weeks, and my eagerly anticipated order failed to arrive. Emails went unanswered, phone calls led nowhere, and the company’s website mysteriously vanished into thin air. It wasn’t until I stumbled upon recent reviews from other disgruntled customers that I realized I had fallen victim to a scam.
Frustrated and disheartened, I took action, filing a complaint with the appropriate authorities. While the financial loss was minimal, the experience served as a stark reminder of the importance of due diligence when navigating the vast landscape of online shopping.
